Bury Down is an unmarked ride and please note: there is no access for lorries over 7.5 ton
Bury Down ride is centred on the Ridgeway in the Berkshire downs and includes lots of fairly fast going as well some hills and a couple of stony tracks and is 99% off road apart from a very short stretch through East Ilsley village. A few of the tracks are a bit rutted due to abuse some years ago by 4 x 4 vehicles but on the whole it is a fast ride and very good for fittening. There are two distances of 14 miles (22.5k) and 11.5 miles (18.5k) Being where it is there are often lots of walkers, dogs, cyclists etc so please be aware!
